Caroline Matthews

Caroline is Brockton’s Legal and Operations Director responsible for Brockton’s day to day operations including legal structuring, corporate management and human resources.

Caroline joined Brockton in 2021.  She is a 21 year qualified real estate solicitor and has experience in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, acting for both landlords and tenants, pension funds, property funds, property companies and banks.  Her areas of expertise include investment, landlord and tenant matters, development and real estate finance.  Caroline trained and qualified at Macfarlanes LLP following which she spent 10 years in the real estate team at Ashurst LLP, before returning to Macfarlanes LLP in 2014 to lead the asset management team providing services to Legal & General’s Industrial Property Investment Fund.

Caroline holds a BA (Hons) degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Durham (which included an academic year at Paul Valery, University of Montpellier, France) and a graduate diploma in Law from City University, London.  Caroline completed her postgraduate training as a solicitor at the College of Law in Guildford.
